Machinist


This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled machinist to join a well‑established engineering team working on diverse and technically interesting projects. You’ll contribute to high‑quality machining work that supports major pump repairs and electromechanical services across the UK. Key Responsibilities & Accountability

  • Can operate lathes, milling machines and boring machines (essential)
  • Conversant with the use of pillar and radial drills
  • Machining and manufacturing of rotating equipment parts
  • Complex turning and welding of pump bearings and shafts
  • Undertake works to a high standard on a first‑time‑fix basis where possible
  • Submission of daily and weekly paperwork accurately and on time
  • Ensure exceptional levels of internal customer care
  • Work proactively as well as part of a team

Qualifications, Experience & Personal Attributes

The successful applicant will possess:

  • Must be methodical and accurate and make notes and reports during the disassembly process
  • C&G/NVQ Mechanical Engineering (preferable)
  • Previous experience within a Mechanical/Electrical Engineering environment
  • Health and Safety training
  • Ability to use industry equipment correctly and safely during the machining process
  • Full driving licence would be an advantage
